Fantastic people working here, nicely appointed place. Excellent location with views of garden not far from wildlife and the highlands. Also, by nature.

The bedroom was spotless and beautiful. There was a really good bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer, and fresh towels. the venue was set in a secluded position just next door to the town centre and the nearby mountains.

We enjoyed staying in a lovely room that was beautifully decorated, had electric blankets, and hypoallergenic pillows, and the quiet location on a hill was a nice bonus.

They greeted us with tea and cake, making us feel right at home. the breakfasts were exceptional, with a wide selection of fruits, delicious bread, homemade marmalade, and jams. the highlight was the individually prepared Full Scottish breakfast. Gill was a fantastic host, providing us with tips and recommendations for exploring the area. the property itself was idyllic, nestled in the woods with beautiful views of nature. Cons: Nothing, all was good. 👍.

Christmas at this hotel was unforgettable. the warm welcome and friendly hosts made us feel right at home. the homemade treats, like the delicious shortbread and flapjacks, were a delightful touch. the lounge with the roaring fire and complimentary whisky created a cozy atmosphere for unwinding. the spacious and comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep. the breakfast, with its freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade bread, was a perfect start to the day. Plus, the beautiful views of nature from the dining room window added a peaceful touch to the stay.
The shower being in the corner of the room allowed for privacy, but the sink's awkward design was a small inconvenience. the placement of the plug sockets behind the bedside tables made them difficult to reach.

Nestled in the heart of a enchanting forest, the Grey Hen offers a tranquil setting for families to unwind. the rooms are tastefully decorated and offer a cozy retreat after a long day of adventure. Guests can start their day off right with a scrumptious homemade breakfast, complete with high, quality ingredients. the friendly and welcoming hosts go above and beyond to provide a warm and comfortable experience. the B&B is ideally located on a hill, providing stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
It would be even better if there were more family, friendly amenities available on, site.

I absolutely adored the charming decorations throughout the hotel, from the vintage wallpaper to the delicate china teacups. It truly felt like stepping back in time to a more elegant era. The common areas were well-maintained and offered plenty of seating for us to relax and enjoy the stunning views. I was also pleased to find that the hotel was easily accessible for senior people, with wide hallways and handrails in the right places. It made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my stay.
If I had to suggest one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, it would be to have larger print books or magazines available in the reading nooks. Sometimes it can be a bit difficult for us to read small print, especially without our reading glasses.
